Personally, I find this to be one of the hardest steps to take because simply recognising that you’re in an unhelpful situation is already a challenge in itself. It’s easy to grow accustomed to negativity when it surrounds you, making it difficult to see how much it’s affecting you negatively. And even when you do become aware, pulling yourself out of that toxicity is an arduous task to accomplish.
